This replacement filter uses an ultra-dense CarbFiber block of powdered coconut activated carbon. It removes residual concentrations of organic contaminants and heavy metals. It filters particles down to 0.8 microns in size.
The Aquaphor K7B cartridge stands out for its 0.1 micron HollowFiber membrane installed at the water inlet to the cartridge, but also for its very dense 0.8 micron activated carbon block (CarbFiber Block) content.
The HollowFiber tubular membrane retains impurities down to 0.1 microns, effectively eliminating bacteria. It is a filter with pores no larger than 0.1 microns, so the system removes bacteria and cysts without using chemicals.
The Aquaphor K7B filter is made of very dense block activated carbon using CarbFiber Block technology. The filter has a porosity of 0.8 microns, eliminating organic contaminants as well as heavy metals.
The filter contains a high amount of ion-exchange fibers patented by Aquaphor under the name Aqualen. These fibers contain silver in ionic form and contribute to the retention of colloidal or dissolved iron.
