AQUAPHOR Crystal A - Carbon Filter for Municipal Water
AQUAPHOR Crystal A is a carbon filter that softens municipally treated water, removing visible particles such as sand, rust, silt and high residual turbidity.
The first K5 polypropylene cartridge retains particles down to 5 microns and extends the life of the K7 cartridge, which filters particles down to 0.8 microns.
The K7 carbon cartridge incorporates CarbFiber Block technology — the filter contains activated carbon from coconut shells, combined with the patented AQUALEN microfiber absorbent and an ion-exchange microfiber. The dense structure of the CarbFiber blocks allows the K7 cartridges to effectively remove active chlorine, heavy metals such as lead, pesticides, drugs, microplastics and many other contaminants that can be found in water.
The KH cartridge contains ion exchange resin and can be regenerated several times using salt. We recommend using sorption filters for softening when the water has moderate hardness (limestone appears in 10-14 days). For highly mineralized water, the RO filter is the best option.
Cartridges should be replaced at least once a year; however, in case of emergency discharges of pollutants into the water network, their replacement is required earlier. The first cartridge should be replaced every 3-6 months, depending on the turbidity of the water.
The filters are easy to replace thanks to Click&Turn technology.
