When the outdoor temperature is too low and the humidity level is high, ice may form on the surface of the outdoor heat exchanger, which could reduce the heating efficiency. When these conditions are present, the air conditioner can use the Defrost function to remove ice from the surface of the outdoor heat exchanger.
